Who takes the CLEP College Algebra?
Anyone with prior knowledge in a CLEP subject can take a CLEP exam. Typical test-takers include high school students, military service members, and non-traditional college students.
How is the CLEP College Algebra scored?
You’ll receive two exam scores for the College Algebra CLEP: a raw score and a scaled score. Scaled scores range from 20 to 80. Your raw score is calculated based on how many answers you get right. There is no penalty for wrong answers, so guessing is encouraged. Multiple choice exams are scored by a computer.

The CLEP College Algebra exam is regarded as more difficult than CLEP College Mathematics. The CLEP College Algebra exam covers fewer topics, but the problems are more in-depth and challenging.
