The Introductory Psychology CLEP exam measures your knowledge of the concepts, principles, and basics of psychology.
The College Level Examination Program, or the CLEP, is a collection of standardized tests that measures your knowledge of certain subjects. Students can earn college credit at thousands of colleges and universities by earning a satisfactory score on the computer-based CLEP exams.

Students can take a variety of exams on entry-level collegiate topics in order to bypass these courses in college or university.
Does this sound familiar? That may be because many students take CLEP tests in conjunction with DSST tests. While both offer college credit, CLEP tests offer testing in mainstream subjects while DSST test subjects are more specialized.
How long is the Introductory Psychology Exam?
The Introductory Psychology CLEP exam consists of 95 questions to be answered in 90 minutes.
How much credit can I earn for a CLEP Exam?
Each college and university has its own CLEP policy, and each exam is weighed differently. Still, the American Council on Education (ACE) recommends that schools award 3 semester hours of college credit for a score of 50 or higher on the Introductory Psychology CLEP exam.
How is the Introductory Psychology CLEP test scored?
A scaled score is calculated, based on multiple-choice questions and essay scores, that range from 20 to 80. The student then earns an A, B, C, or D based on this score. The letter grade is applied to your college course equivalent.
What's a good score on the Introductory Psychology CLEP exam?
A score of 50 on the CLEP Introductory Psychology exam, the equivalent of a course grade of C, will give you three credits.
Who takes the Introductory Psychology CLEP?
